Incendio forestal que ha calcinado más de 1720 ha en Ribas de Sil (Lugo), Monday, September 06, 2021. El incendio forestal que permaneció activo durante tres días, debido a las favorables condiciones ambientales de baja humedad y viento que causó la propagación del incendio, que afecto a varios municipios de la provincia de Lugo, calcinando 1720 hectáreas de superficie, siendo este el segundo incendio más importante del presente siglo. El fuego afectó a los municipios de Ribas de Sil, Quiroga y Pobra de Brollón. Obligó a activar la situación de emergencia 2, debido a la proximidad de las llamas a los núcleos urbanos de Rairos, A Cabarca, Vilario y As Fontes. Fueron movilizadas la Unidad Militar de Emergencias (UME), seis helicópteros de extinción, dos aviones anfibios y numerosas brigadas de diversos puntos de la geografía. Todos los indicios apuntan a la intencionalidad del incendio por parte de incendiarios debido a la presencia de diversos focos en lugares estratégicos.<br />

Forest fire that has burned more than 1720 hectares in Ribas de Sil (Lugo). Spain, Monday, September 06, 2021.The forest fire remained active for three days, due to the favorable environmental conditions of low humidity and wind that caused the spread of the fire, which affected several municipalities in the province of Lugo, burning 1720 hectares of surface, being this the second most important fire of the present century. The fire affected the municipalities of Ribas de Sil, Quiroga and Pobra de Brollón. It forced the activation of emergency situation 2, due to the proximity of the flames to the urban centers of Rairos, A Cabarca, Vilario and As Fontes. The Military Emergency Unit (UME), six firefighting helicopters, two amphibious planes and numerous brigades from different parts of the country were mobilized.
